Power of Youth Council


The Perry County Power of Youth would like to announce the opening of their grant cycle.  The Power of Youth Council will consider funding requests that support recreational activities serving Perry County youth (grades 7 - 12). One grant in the amount of $4,500 will be awarded during the 2011 grant cycle. Funding requests will be accepted until 
April 15, 2011.
The Grant Proposal Form is designed to be completed on-screen and then submitted online at:www.perrycommunityfoundation.org/youth-philanthropy-grantmaking.

The Perry County Power of Youth Council promotes philanthropy among today's young people to prepare them to support their communities of tomorrow by giving their time, talent and treasure.  The Council consists of Sophomores, Juniors and Seniors from all three area high schools and provide them a chance to work together to improve their community. The program is sponsored by the Perry County Community Foundation and United Way of Perry County in partnership with Purdue Extension - Perry County.

Power of Youth Council - Power of Youth Council is an initiative to teach high school sophomores, juniors and seniors how to be changemakers in their community through philanthropy, volunteerism, grantmaking and leadership. This program is a collaboration between the United Way of Perry County and the Perry County Community Foundation.
