Revised United Way of Perry and Crawford County Grant Applications Available

     Health and human service organizations are invited to apply for funding from the United Way of Perry County and the United Way of Crawford County.  Two different deadlines now exists.  The deadline for the United Way of Perry County grants to be submitted is Friday, March 6, 2015.  The deadline for United Way of Crawford County's grants to be submitted is Wednesday, April 1.  Grant applications are available on United Way of Perry County’s website at www.unitedwayperryco.org/grantmaking.  Last year the United Way of Perry County distributed over $83,000 and the United Way of Crawford County distributed over $6,800 in funds to area health and human service organizations to fund projects focused on Education, Health, Financial Stability and Emergency Assistance.       

     All applications are due by 5:00 p.m. (Central Time) via email on thier respective due dates.  Late or incomplete applications will not be considered.  Applicants must be a health and human service organizations and maintain a 501 c 3 tax status.  The United Way of Perry and Crawford County’s funding focuses will be Education, Health, Financial Stability and Emergency Assistance for this grant cycle.                   

     The mission of the United Way of Perry County is to improve the quality of life by providing leadership and mobilizing resources to create lasting change for the people we serve.  The United Way is governed by a local board of trustees and all grant applications are reviewed by members of the local community.  In addition to the funding given to area health and human service organizations, the United Way of Perry County also coordinates the following programs: Holiday Helpers United Christmas assistance program, Youth Day of Caring countywide volunteer day, “Stuff the Bus” countywide school supply drive, FamilyWize Discount Prescription Card program and Dolly Parton Imagination Library early literacy program.  United Way of Crawford County coordinates the Stuff the Bus program in conjunction with the Harrison County Community Services at the Corydon Walmart and provides a scholarship in memory of Jim Ade annually to a deserving Crawford County High School senior.
