Are you ready to help “Stuff the
Bus” to help families in need? United
Way of Perry County is once again sponsoring its eighth annual “Stuff the Bus”
school supply drive for our area’s students in need. United Way,
Wal-Mart, and area volunteers are partnering to collect donations of much
needed school supplies for all Perry County school corporations and Perry
County Head Start.
Last year’s two day event gathered more than 4,485 items valued at
approximately $4,096. Additional cash
donations of $2,440 were also received, bringing the value of all donations to
over $6,536 for our friends and neighbors in need.
Won’t you help us fill the backpacks of the hundreds of
children in our area who need supplies?
will be “Stuffing the Bus” on Friday, July 25 from 8:00 a.m. until 8:00 p.m.
and Saturday, July 26 from 8:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m. at the Tell City Wal-Mart. Donations will be accepted by volunteers both
days. All supplies will be distributed
to children in need by the local schools.
Local businesses are encouraged to have their own “Stuff
the Bus” collections. Our volunteers
will be happy to pick up your donations prior to July 25th.
